HOMEMADE BUTTER COOKIE "MEXICAN CALAVERITA" - 52 G
In Mexico we celebrate on 1st and 2nd of November "Dia de Muertos" and an important part of the altar is a white Mexican skull made of sugar and decorated with many colors known as "Calaverita". They are usually made of sugar, but we decided to baked them as a delicious and colorful home-made butter cookie ande decorated by hand.
Thanks to its white color, very similar to that of human bones, pre-Hispanic Mexico decided to take its tradition and “sweeten” it with sugar.
