Japanese peanut or beer peanut is a type of peanut-based snack typical of Mexican commercial candy stores. It is made of a thick crunchy coating made from wheat flour roasted over low heat with a little soy sauce. Its flavor can vary, but can usually be slightly sweet and salty, and sometimes spicy.
Ingredients: Wheat flour, added sugars (sugar), corn starch, natural coloring titanium dioxide and antioxidant TBHQ. Soy sauce: Water, iodized salt, added sugars (sugar, hydrolyzed vegetable protein, chili powder, monosodium glutamate, citric acid, gum arabic, sodium inosinate, artificial coloring (lacquer red 40) and paprika oleoresin.
