RICOTTA CHEESE TLACOYOS 🌽 RICOTTA SIR TLACOYOJI

RECIPE: RICOTTA CHEESE TLACOYOS

INGREDIENTS:
🌽 500 g. of MASECA® blue corn masa flour
🌽 2 cups of water
🌽 ½ tablespoon of salt
🌽 250 g. of cottage or ricotta cheese
🌽 1 teaspoon of dehydrated epazote leaves
🌽 ½ cup of brown beans, cooked and mashed
🌽 2 serrano chilies, chopped
🌽 ½ onion, chopped
🌽 ½ cup of cilantro leaves
🌽 ½ kg. of shredded mozzarella cheese for melting
🌽 2 red tomatoes, sliced
🌽 A spicy sauce of your preference

PREPARATION:

1. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, serrano peppers, onion, epazote leaves and beans. Set aside.
2. Mix MASECA® blue corn masa flour with water. Using your hands, knead for 2 minutes until you form a soft and uniform dough.
3. Form a masa ball of your preferred size and flatten using your hands to form a small patty. Add a tablespoon of the cheese mixture. Close the masa ball and flatten again to form a patty in the shape of “tlacoyo” (oval shape).
4. Cook in a hot griddle at medium heat until completely cooked from both sides.
5. Serve with shredded cheese, onion, tomatoes, cilantro, and your favourite spicy sauce.

RECEPT: RICOTTA SIR TLACOYOJI

SESTAVINE:
🌽 500 g modre koruzne moke MASECA®
🌽 2 skodelici vode
🌽 ½ žlice soli
🌽 250 g skute ali ricotta sira
🌽1 čajna žlička posušenih listov epazote
🌽 ½ skodelice rjavega fižola, kuhanega in pretlačenega
🌽 2 serrano čilija, sesekljana
🌽 ½ čebule, sesekljane
🌽 ½ skodelice listov koriandra
🌽 ½ kg naribanega mocarela sira za topljenje
🌽 2 rdeča paradižnika, narezana na rezine
🌽 Pekoča omaka po tvoji izbiri

PRIPRAVA:

1. V skledi zmešaj ricotta sir, serrano čilije, čebulo, liste epazote in fižol. Odstavi.
2. Zmešaj MASECA® modro koruzno moko z vodo. Z rokami mesi 2 minuti, dokler ne dobiš mehkega in enakomernega testa.
3. Oblikuj kroglico iz mase veliko po svoji želji in jo splošči z rokami, da nastane majhna ploščica. Dodaj žlico mešanice sira. Zapri maso in jo ponovno splošči da oblikuješ ploščico v obliki “tlacoyo« (ovalna oblika).
4. Peci na vroči ponvi na srednji temperaturi, dokler ni popolnoma pečeno z obeh strani.
5. Postrezi z naribanim sirom, čebulo, paradižnikom, koriandrom in tvojo najljubšo pekočo omako.
